Plastic Mould Steel P20

P20 is a pre-hardened plastic mould steel designed for reliable machining and polishability. It provides uniform hardness through sections and good toughness to resist cracking. The grade supports stable EDM performance and consistent dimensional stability. Its balanced composition allows efficient machining and predictable finishing results. P20 is widely used for injection moulds, mould bases, and die holders. It performs well in medium-run plastic tooling and low-pressure die casting tools. Built for efficiency, P20 helps reduce lead time in mould manufacturing.

Applications

The P20 steel is an equivalent to DIN 2311 plastic mould steel and used for die holders, casting dies, zinc die, bolsters, backers, shoe blocks, injection moulds, mould frames for plastic moulds, pressure casting moulds, recipient sleeves etc.
