Nickel-Enhanced Plastic Mould Steel P20+NI

P20+NI is a pre-hardened plastic mould steel enhanced with nickel for improved toughness and polishability. It provides uniform hardness through sections and strong resistance to cracking. The grade supports stable EDM performance and consistent dimensional stability. Nickel addition improves surface finish and weldability for mold repairs. P20+NI is widely used for injection moulds, mould bases, and die holders. It performs well in medium to high-run plastic tooling and low-pressure die casting tools. Built for reliability, P20+NI helps reduce lead time and improve mold surface quality.

Applications

P20+Ni is an equivalent grade of most popular steel grade of DIN 2738 which is applicable for large & small plastic mould dies. It is utilized for automotive industries, bolster plates for presses, dies for domestic goods, die holders and shoe blocks for drop hammers, high finishing plastic die, forging dies, press cassettes, up setter blocker, different dies and moulds for plastic products etc.
